Usable, but tricky too set up.

This plane works well once it is set up, but that can be tricky to get right, because the adjusting mechanism has a lot of backlash. The blade needs to be advanced very slowly; literally a quarter turn at a time. Out of the box, the plane iron wasn't quite flat, so it cut deeper on the edges. Some time with an oil stone sorted that our, and now the cut is smooth and even.

Easy to cut to length and assemble

The fibreglass poles are very easy to cut to length with a hacksaw, and the package contains a convenient draw-wire to install the elastic cord which holds the sections together.
