Beware of little girls who are home alone!
I saw this movie years ago with Jody foster and Martin Sheen and it was fantastic. They probably couldn’t have found two better actors for it, so when I saw the book I was compelled to buy it and read it. It’s a really good and fast read. It’s about a little girl 13 years old who is constantly home alone and is basically being tormented by visiting adults who come into the house. She’s quite mature for her age and ultimately finds a friend in a young man who is crippled and likes to play magician at parties. I think the book kept going right to the very last word. Well worth reading!

A look into the Moors Muderers
This book is a through in depth chronology of the Moors Murderers and their ascent into the torture and sexual murders of five children. The author lays out the facts of the case without instilling their own viewpoint, which is incredibly difficult due given the horrific events that took place.
This is an interesting case study for future or present law enforcement as it shows the advancement of the abduction, torture and death of the children and the cold, calculated actions of the murderers.

Dating a Serial Killer 101
I am an armchair detective and love all things crime, so when I found out about this book I had to read it. I had to hold it in my hands and get a feel for it. What was more compelling is that there are very few in print and it only had one printing. The book tells you about a six years plus relationship a young woman and her daughter had with Ted Bundy. He was gorgeous, charismatic, intelligent, suave, debonair and anything she could ever want in a man. A lot of people had criticism for her because they felt she should have known what he was doing and who he ultimately was. I don’t think people are being fair to her and I’m glad that she told her side of it. She really wanted to believe that he was the one, and for all points and purposes other than the few times that he cheated on her he was wonderful with her. Yes he manipulated her, but at the same time he was everything she ever wanted and he was wonderful with her daughter. It’s easy for people who are uninvolved to criticize her. I’m glad that she told her side of the relationship.
For anyone who is a true crime buff it is absolutely worth the read just to get into the mind of somebody on the inside who had a relationship with a serial killer.
