Works just fine
The reason I got this sound box was to use it on an HPE MicroServer G8. I used to have a clone box but it failed many times and decided to replace it with a real server. I used to have FaxTalk (answering/fax machine software) installed to access a Multi-Tech MT5634ZPX-PCI MultiModem. But since the MicroServer won't support full height cards I decided to get a usb FAX/Modem (HiRO usb Fax/Modem). Now I have the Vice/Fax/Moden but didn't have sound. Here is were the Sewell Direct Sound Box External USB Sound Card enter in action. So far is doing the work just fine. The sound is not perfect nor high fidelity but for me it does the job. It was easy to install and it needed no configuration. The OS (Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 5 Essentials) just handle it like any other sound card.
