Food Shoppping Made Easy!
Can you say "k.i.s.s. - keep it simple stupid"? This book is great for 'stupid' people like me who make shopping for food a difficult and painful process. There is so much information in this book from shop the outer aisles to even name brand items that especially meet specific requirements for the shopper to stay on track. I highly recommend it for the information on shopping if you truly want to eat healthier! Atkins isn't all eat meat and nothing else and this book shows you just how to eat what's right for the human body as it has been for thousands of years.

America Takes Shelter
Beginning with the first native Americans right up to the end of the 20th century Les Walker shows in drawings and words how we as a nation have changed our housing habits. Inspriational and informative for the homebuilder, dreamer or even an architectural student. Easy to read and in chronological order. I plan to build and this helps me to see what's really necessary in a house - not the McMansions of the 21st century.

Not finished yet
Not finished yet but much like "The Big Tiny" the author weaves her personal story in with her telling of the creation of the Eco Village at Ithaca. As an Upstate NY native I had never heard of this place until I saw this book advertised and sought it out. Now I may have found a reason to return home. While the tale unwinds slowly - though it took 5 years to build so really I guess she goes at the pace of the build - it is compelling and filled with facts, statistics and the story of how people's lives come together and separate as they build an Eco Village I am excited to go see!!
