Heart-touching stories, excellent photos, and amazing recipes all in one book
What's so special about this book is that we not only get incredible recipes from around the world that is endorsed by a world renown chef, we also can read many firsthand stories about how people who have survived devastating situations around the world have been helped and help each other, so I feel inspired by reading about so much compassion and love for my fellow humans around the world by reading these stories. The generous amount of photos of so many people touched by World Central Kitchen helps us connect to them even more.
Frankly, I have so many cookbooks, I started giving many of them away to our neighborhood Little Library, but I am definitely keeping this one since I want to read more of the stories, even if I don't end up cooking a lot of the recipes. That said, I still want to cook some of the recipes that look easier for me, such as some of the comforting soups and yummy sounding sauces to toss on whatever I usually cook.
