Title adequate for a superficial description of the plot which dealt with issues of artistic creativity.
If you do not wish to delve deeply into the elevated mind set of Thomas Mann you can at least enjoy the images of this production. Faced with a difficult role, Dirk Borgarde wasn't bad. I was unsure sometimes about the adherence of the script to Thomas Mann as the lead character was shifted to Gustav Mahler who was not the subject of the original novella, which I have not read. That said, it was engaging.

Great story and generally good depiction in the movie.
Story with so many situations most of us will never encounter could not be completely uninteresting. Whatever critiques you may have about the movie details, it is an amazing story.
