Bought for sous vide cooker
Was told by a friend that this is what he uses to vacuum seal his food before cooking in his sous vide cooker, so I bought it. Seems kind of flimzy, cheap, plastic but will probably work fine. It came with a set of different size bags and I'm wondering how long these five bags will last and if I need to keep purchasing new ones to continue using my sous vide cooker. The directions say not to immerse it in water and do not put in dishwasher.

Why does the manufacture make these out of plastic?
2 of 2 found this helpful I did some research and this part is known to spit and leak gas. I replaced it and so far so good. It may split again and leak gas and run poorly. I would suggest heating the plastic part in hot water before pushing it on the stub as i did to reduce the stress and prevent splitting again. Part arrived quickly and as advertised.
