Decent tuner with a great design idea.
This is a pretty good tuner, depending on where are using it. I bought it specifically for use on an acoustic that I take busking, as I loved the idea that it is unobtrusively mounted to a tuning peg; stroke of brilliance there! Unfortunately, it does not work in this application, as it is simply not bright enough to read outdoors. I have no problem tuning by ear but thought it would be nice to have a tuner on hand anyway- and sometimes I like to do open-tuned Zeppelin songs so having a good tuner just speeds things up a bit. I've got a couple of clip-on tuners, but like to have them in the house on other guitars, so the D'Addario would have been perfect. I'm going to put it on my Paul Reed Smith instead, as their headstocks can be kind of wonky to put other clip-on tuners on.
The D'Addario tuner works fine, and is pretty accurate, so no problem there.

A cool solution that works well
I primarily bought this because I hoped it would stop some string ringing behind the nut of my guitars. I'd been threading some black material through the strings, which worked well, but looked messy, and when I saw this item I knew it was a good solution. It hold my picks well, and does indeed stop the sympathetic ringing vibrations behind the nut. I actually bought 4 of these, and they wrk on my guitars despite benign listed as "Bass Guitar" pick holders. A great surprise was the free picks- I was expecting an average pick but I really like them- especially on acoustic where they sound really bright and lively. I'm going to switch over to these Alice picks from my current brand. Overall, great value and cool product!
