Excellent thermometer for the smoker/grill
I decided to purchase this thermometer over other similar types for the recalibration/adjustment option. I installed it in the lid of my new Traeger Texas Elite 34. It required me to drill a slightly larger than 1/2" hole in the lid and is secured in place with an included flat washer and nut. Install was easy with proper tools, drill bits and a little mechanical ability. So far, I have been impressed with it's accuracy and quick response. The 3" sight window is a great size for easy visualization of proper temperatures while turning out bbq crowd favorites like ribs, brisket and pork shoulder etc. If longevity is as good as my initial impression of functionality, then I would highly recommend this 3" River Country adjustable thermometer. For the money, you can hardly go wrong.
