Obsolete, but still useable if you know what you are doing
I presently have one of these Parallax "Eddie" Motor Mount/Wheel Kits on another robot chassis and one of the newer "Arlo" Motor Mount/Wheel Kits on another robot chassis so I am very familiar with this Motor Mount/Wheel Kit.
Parallax discontinued this Motor Mount/Wheel Kit version about a year after it became available (2010). Since the Seller disclosed that the Kit was missing some hardware I offered him what I thought it was worth and I was pretty spot-on concerning what was missing from the Kit.
After receiving and inventorying the Kit, which was well packaged, a quick trip to McMaster-Carr provided me with the missing hardware components. Both motors are fully functional and all of the included hardware is in good shape. The Position Controllers are functional, but obsolete as the wheel encoders are of low resolution and no longer supported by Parallax.
I plan to use the two motor/drive assemblies to build a robot lawn mower chassis that uses RTK GPS for highly accurate mower path following.

Improved chassis support over the stock springs
I use my Traxxas Slash Truck chassis for Donkey Car racing and therefore it carries a heavier load than normal RC racing. These springs did the trick of better supporting the chassis than the stock springs.

A bulletproof ESC for the demanding racer
Traxxas always provides the customer with bulletproof products and this XL-5 Waterproof ESC is one of them. I like the over-voltage battery input protection and the ease of programming the ESC.
