Tough to get used to.!

Perhaps I will become accustomed to this wonderful lens, but since I'm old and used to zooming a certain way, I find myself grabbing the manual focus ring and slowing down the process. I cannot understand why Tamron would put the zoom ring way out in front of the lens. This is not like any other Tamron or Nikon lense I own. I'm a little sorry I purchased this lens right now.

Great lens but too heavy to carry around.

This lens is excellent but the weight is not worth the bother. There are too many other lenses which are also excellent and weigh much less.
