A real heavy-duty implement, and built to last.
Exactly what I was looking for - quality, sturdy construction, and very effective tool. As forewarned in a review read before I committed to the purchase, the ratchet design means that each cut requires multiple moves to close the ratchet mechanism, which can be tiresome when you're trying to cut something quite thin or insubstantial. But it can't half cut the branches cleanly!
