Ok for the recipes
Basically, this book is not that well written and even important info like indirect or direct cooking is left out of some of the recipes. I read the entire book and some parts were difficult to follow and some were repetitive. Needs a good editor to review and update. Anyway, I didn't get it for reading material, I got it for the recipes for my first kamado.

Perfect for new parents and new photographers. Experienced users - no.
I got this book to give me ideas for shooting my newborn daughter. I wish I had read that this was more for beginners and not geared towards more advanced photographers. I believe this book is very good for beginners. Although it has good points, I do not agree with all of them as far as the equipment goes. If you are a newbie and are looking for more info for shooting your kids and looking for what settings to use, then this is THE book for you. If you are an advanced photographer, then you can buy the book and give it to your beginning photographer friends.

Must have accessiory for your kamado!
Tried 2 different baskets and the Kick Ash was of superior quality and actually fit my kamado well. The other one was too small. It's so much easier to dump the ash and to bring up the temp after doing low and slow.
