Great hood - Modified mine to fit my Canon WD-H58 Wide Converter

This Mennon lens hood is designed for 77mm lenses with threads in the front. I modified mine to fit my Canon WD-H58 Wide Converter which has no threads in front. Additionally that converter is 77.4mm. I love the lens hood and also have the 58mm model. Well made, durable and do very well with my Canon HF S30 camcorder. I can add further detail on the modifications I made if there is interest. Note that it is a permanent modification made for my specific use and once completed the lens hood will no longer thread onto a 77mm lens. The mod allows me to press the Mennon lens hood straight onto the Canon WD-H58 Wide Converter.

Replacement works as expected!!

One of the bulbs in my original unit had burned out so only half of the display would light up. Also the black finish was worn and crumbling and several of the icons and labels could no longer be seen at all. So it looked awful! The replacement unit arrived well packed and in great shape. I installed it and it is functioning perfectly and looks awesome!
