Yeah, I like it, very cool little scanner, looks new....no pics taken, it looks like the sellers pic, new
First, I can say I like this scanner, the only bummer for me is my local police use encrypted frequencies, my bad should have looked into that...but still this WS 1040 works really good for all the other things I can listen too that are not encrypted...and there is a lot...I went to youtube to figure out how to program it by hand, the programing software out there won't work with my Linux system...the other thing I figured out after the purchase is the age of this scanner, it has been out for some time, but at this price point and the features it has it is still a good option...even new scanners of greater cost can not crack the encrypted stuff...I like the SAME feature that alerts to weather events, got mine set for tornado warnings...this refurbish looks like new, came with everything the new ones come with...I have to mention the little card that said this scanner only has a 90 day warranty..E-bay says it's 2 yrs....who freakin knows, it works...it replaced my 20+ yr old Radio Shack Pro 23, which still works...take a chance, I'm happy with it.
