Perfect fit, but with a bit of effort to install
I finally bought this after my Subaru dealership told me the cost of buying a non-chrome strip and having it painted to match my car.
This "chrome" trim molding took me about 3 hours to install; I am not an experienced auto mechanic, rather just a general handyman guy who was cautious about pulling off plastic panels and dealing with push pin fasteners. The directions were quite accurate, although they took a bit of time to understand.
Don't think you are going to complete this replacement in a few minutes. I find Youtube videos always helpful for auto repairs and this was no exception. An experienced mechanic might be able to do it in an hour, if starting with all of the correct tools.
Be careful to find the small strips of vibration dampening foam in the package with the instructions. I found them easy to overlook.
