Cooki's Country Annuals
I find these a convenient way to build and keep a collection of issues of this magazine for reference to recipes they develop and publish. They, America's Test Kitchen, and Cooks Illustrated seem to test their recipes more thoroughly before publishing them than do some other cooking magazines. Of the three, my taste seems to run more to Cook's Country as being the more practical, day-to-day usable, and non-exotic in their choices of recipes. ATK runs a close second, with CI being generally slightly more fancy, exotic, and complex in their recipes. Just my overall opinion based upon my personal taste.

Seresto for Cats
2 of 2 found this helpful My medium-length hair cat had brought in 2 ticks from the adjacent vacant lot so I invested in this product even though it seemed a bit pricey. This was at the first of last summer. As of almost 10 months later, I have not seen the first tick since the cat started wearing the collar. I still use a spot-product behind the neck because I am not sure Seresto gives protection from mosquito-borne diseases like heartworm, but there is no adverse interaction between the products and the spot-product that gives mosquito protection is not effective for ticks. Using both is the best of both worlds and Seresto is so long-lasting that it is very cost effective.

Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse for PC & Mac
Have been using one for 7-8 years at least, ever since Logitech stopped making the Trackman Marble FX trackball. I preferred it for automated drafting because it was larger so the ball was easier to roll smoothly and precisely position the cursor. That being said, I tried a number of other trackballs and found this one to be the best and most natural for me. Easy to clean if dust and pet hair causes intermittent action. I now have one on every desktop and laptop and would not be without them. I keep buying them whenever a good deal comes up for fear they too will go out of production and I want spares on hand.
I prefer trackballs to mice because they require less working space on the desk and you don't collide with other objects on the desk. I liked the earlier wired version but really do like the wireless feature of this model. Battery life is very good and the receiver module stores inside the trackball when not in use. They are reasonably sturdy and, while not indestructable, can survive an occasional drop from the desktop to floor as accidents do happen.
All in all, I find it an excellent product and hope it does not get taken off the market.
