Don't buy this unit
0 of 6 found this helpful This is a bare-bones design. It does not have a snubber network (R-C) on the MOSFET. Mine immediately shorted the MOSFET when power was first applied. I'm an EE, so I understand this stuff. I thought this board would save some time. Nope.
Look elsewhere for a nixie supply.

Super trigger
These are very nice. While the stock Ruger trigger is OK, once you shoot with one of these, you'll never go back.
Why, you might ask? First there is no "take up" or slack in the trigger movement. The trigger is rock solid in the cocked state. When you start to squeeze the trigger, it does not move or creep at all. It just breaks suddenly and without warning. That's good, because you want the actual firing to be a surprise, eliminating anticipatory behavior on the part of the shooter. In rapid fire ( I never do that ;-) ), the trigger is smooth as glass and does not hang up. I bought this model three times. It has 3.5 lbs of pull, which is about half the stock Ruger force. in addition, these have the modified bolt release plate already installed. Hornet always ships very quickly, and has good instructions. They will give you some money back if you send in your original unit. This model also has a cool mag release, which is sold separately for 20 to 30 bucks. These are a great value on all accounts.

Too long...
Nice battery, and they are honest about it's capacity. But the protection board adds a lot of length to this unit. It's too long to work properly in a lot of flashlights, and it doesn't fit in a normal CR123 batt holder. If the extra length isn't a problem, then this is a good buy.
