Like Creed's Green Irish Tweed at 1/3 the price
1 of 1 found this helpful Very nice rendition of Creed's iconic Green Irish Tweed for men. Smells very similar throughtout its development, but with ever-so-slightly less silage and longevity (on skin 4-5hrs.; on clothes twice that). It's obviously not as finely crafted as Creed's GIT but at 1/3 the price you can't go wrong and most people wouldn't notice the difference between the two. You'll smell great and still have a sizeable chunck of change left over!

Soapy sandalwood goodness!
Taylor of Old Bond Street (TOBS) Sandalwood Cologne is a dry, extremely soapy scent, so much so that sandalwood, while present, isn't the main player - lavender, rosemary, and geranium at the outstet, and to a lesser extent patchouli and vetiver, are.
The result is a scent that smells amazingly clean in the most English and old school way! Floral, sweet, and somewhat spicy at first splash, it quickly dries down into a musk, cedar and faint sandalwood aura.
While I prefer "Barbershop" scents over most mainstream offerings, TOBS Sandalwood is unfortunately lacking in longevity. The initial silage is very strong, but fades rapidly and the only way I can keep the effect going is to put some on my shirt, where it remains, albeit in a very low-key fashion, for 6-8 hours. Otherwise it becomes a skin scent noticeable only to those in extremely close proximity.
If you like Barbershop scents, check out TOBS Shaving Shop as it also is an outstanding fragrance of the same genre! If you wear this you can be certain no else around will be. TOBS Sandalwood is probably not a scent for anyone under 35-40. If Bleu Chanel and the latest designer scents are your thing, you'd probably find this terribly outdated. If on the other hand you like old school florals, like Musk for Men by Dana, Old Spice, or Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne for Men, etc,. you'll probably like this!

Big Time Old School Barbershop!
Goes on with a light menthol top note that quickly dries down to faintly sweet, amber accord reminscent of talcum powder. Very nice stuff indeed; harkens back to a by-gone era of close shaves, clean white towels, and barber poles. If you're into old school barbershop fragrances, this one won't disappoint!
