There is nothing to hold it in place. It seems to be a little small, but that might be because the wrinkles. No adhesive tape or little straps to push between the molding. I didn't notice any instructions on how to get rid of the wrinkles. But I'm still working with it.

I truly enjoy it.

As far as a long battery life. I'm not sure. One person might say 6 hours is good another may say 8 hours is good still another may say 12 hours is good. It last for my usage.
