Good grip, effective leverage, appropriate for straightforward cutting/gripping.
The grip is comfortable and allows excellent leverage. The cutting pliers are effective. Although the pliers are designed to allow cutting in tight spaces and allow cutting wire easily, the pliers' metal tips are not intended for cutting hardened stainless steel. Consequently, although they can cut through hardened stainless steel wire in tight places, the pliers' metal tips can weaken quickly through repetitive snipping break fairly easily. The pliers will still remain effective at gripping/cutting, but then less so in tight spaces.

Squale 1545 Ceramic
The previous Maxi dial, aluminum bezel insert, is classic and I enjoy it. The newer version with ceramic bezel is no less enjoyable, but the bezel click is a little firmer, and the dial with new bezel inser has a different personality that is a bit more alluring.
