Terrific Heavy Duty Genuine Samsung Remote (which may have a tricky battery cover, or no cover at all).
Iten is a real-deal, old school solidly made TV remote control that requires no programming to work with compatible TV models.
While the remote itself is authentic, be aware most of these are sold used and many no longer come with the original battery cover. Mine came with a mismatched cover from some other device which could not be closed once you put batteries in, owing to four plastic protuberances that prevent it from closing (by a lot, not a little).
This is not a dealbreaker to my mind because you can file them flat using a nail file or dremel tool (it is really obvious when you receive it where to file). You'll also want to shave a bit off the edges on one side for an improved fit. It took maybe a couple of minutes.
Who cares? Even if you buy one of these that's missing the battery cover altogether (many are listed that way), it's not a dealbreaker. This remote is way better made than competing after market models. It's also better quality than the remotes that ship with modern Samsung TVs (they don't make things like they used to).

Not bad but 3m product quality inferior to what it used to be.
It's not bad and the price for this 3m product was good -- but the bond isn't as strong as it used to be ... I find myself turning to high quality double sided rug tape I am forced to trim myself to get the same bond I used to from this and other 3m products. I don't know whether it's part of the general decline of manufacturing standards, age of product or poor quality control. Anyhow this tape is good enough for a decent bond but know that in some applications it might fail.

Great stuff, but the color is 'off' for sterling ...
I use solely rub & buff when I need a metallic finish. I used to avoid it in applications on items that weren't textured because I'd invariable buff the paint right off, but I since realized that isn't a problem if you buff 24 hours after applying.
I have tried many different kinds of metallic artist's paints including gold leaf paints with the actual metal that you had to shake constantly. Rub n Buff is the only one that's a total ringer for bare metal when it is properly applied.
That said, I don't like the silver. Because the color is a little too cool, it looks exactly like aluminum. I use it when I want a finish that looks like aluminum or brushed stainless steel, but I would so love a warmed up version that would be a match for Sterling Silver to the degree that the gold shades are gold.
Rub n Buff gold shades are so real that if you pick the right one you can use it to touch up just those areas of an item where the gold-plate is missing, with undetectable results.
I'm going to try the Pewter shade, in hopes it might be a better match than silver leaf for Sterling.
