Weak internet in your home?
If you are like me and your WiFi doesn't quite reach all the rooms in your home, try the Powerline WiFi 1000. I tried a couple of WiFi extenders with no success in my home. I have a full stone wall that it just couldn't penetrate. When I tried the PowerLine unit I was amazed. It's provides the same power in the back of my home now as in the front where the router is located because the signal is transferred through the current wiring in my home, not via space which is blocked by the stone. I am infinitely pleased!

Research, study the info, and be careful. Features may not justify price.
12 of 16 found this helpful I have used my GoPro Hero2 camera for a couple of years now with outstanding results. I wanted another one and decided to upgrade to the GoPro 3+ Black edition. I am impressed with the size and included WiFi, but that's about all. The sound pickup in the waterproof case is non existent beyond a few feet, and there is no jack for an external microphone. If you want one, you have to buy a $20 adapter for the mini USB port, right after you buy the $50 skeleton housing. All of the higher resolution settings are not needed for amateurs, and probably not more than a few professionals. The ProTune mode is great for later editing, but the phone app cannot replay any video recorded in ProTune mode. The low light compensation is not as good as the Hero2, and if there is any stabilization, it's not apparent. The micro SD card required is another way of costing well over the selling price of the camera, and the size of the micro card makes dropping it and losing it a very real possibility. Why not keep the size of the card standard so we could use our old cards? I would recommend purchasing a large capacity card and never removing it from the camera. Just download your videos and photos directly. In my opinion, the price of the camera is not worth it unless it's your first camera. Just be careful of all the options you will have to buy. For the price they are asking, it's not worth an upgrade since most of us probably already have the WiFi module already added to our Hero2. The Hero2 WiFi has it's own battery, too, while the 3+ has to be run off of the camera battery. My recommendation is to stay away from the WiFi, the remote, and the APP. Use the White model manually, and you will love the quality of the videos, but if I want good still photos I'll use my digital camera with a great zoom for closeups.

More bells and whistles than we need
For techno geeks, I suppose there are never enough bells and whistles to satisfy them, but for the average fisherman this trolling motor has all he could ever need, and probably some he doesn't need. I won't list the many features since they can be found easily enough at the manufacturer's website. However, this motor performs flawlessly in each of the modes available. I do a lot of trolling, and being able to set my speed and have it maintain that speed accurately is very important. And, of course, as I age it's more important to me to have the automatic deploy and stow feature. My conclusion is that I don't think any fisherman could go wrong with this unit (assuming the hefty price tag hasn't scared him away).
