Excellent
Superb recording of great chamber music by a fabulous piano trio.

High quality musical instrument.
While not as nuanced and overtone rich as a true woodblock, it is musical and has a consistency in tone and projection that is forgiving to my occasionally inaccurate striking. It is also used by a rock drummer I play with who swings 5b’s at it like he’s trying to drive it into the floor. The block can take exceptionally harsh punishment in stride. Road worthy. High quality. Does exactly what it is designed to do. Recommended!!

Hipshot D-tuner - don't gig without it!
My first Hipshot was purchased back in the 80's and since that time, I have outfitted every gig bass with one. I just scored my 14th one this month. They are made of the same high quality materials and precision as ever. I consider them essential, especially if you cover bands from the 90's or prog bands such as Tool. They are satisfactorily precise dropping the E string as low ac C with equal precision retuning back to E. Even if you are not playing music in drop D tuning, having the option of low D is cool and it takes little time to adjust to having the low strings tuned to a perfect fifth. The detuning lever is conveniently placed to allow operation on the fly. Operation is completely intuitive and mounting is very simple and well-described in the instructions and does NO DAMAGE to your headstock. I have mounted them on everything from pre-CBS fenders to a Modulus Flea bass with a perfect fit every time. After thousands and thousands of hours of heavy use/abuse, I've never had a single malfunction. I highly recommend them without reservation.
