A & E Ivanhoe.
1 of 1 found this helpful I watched this on A&E years ago when it came out. The production people were top-rate on their historical accuracy in costumes and the way people acted back then. It's not too stiff (which people were then), so it's more understandable for the average viewer who doesn't know much about this time in history.
All in all, an entertaining movie.

Heavy Metal Movie
1 of 1 found this helpful Good ol' Heavy Metal! What a great animation and a hoot to watch. Good rock soundtrack, too. I saw it when it hit theaters long ago and enjoyed it as much now as then. You haven't seen it? Get it.

All about Helen of Sparta/Troy
Bettany Hughes has written a very well-researched book using many historical findings (many recent) to flesh out a woman of the Late Bronze Age. At this time the Greeks weren't yet Greeks, but went by other city-state names. Helen supposedly was the most beautiful woman in the known world during this time and her fame was proudly held up by the ancient Greeks. Some scholars think Helen didn't really exist, but Hughes has much convincing evidence to the contrary. If you're interested in ancient Greek history (actually pre-history), find a copy of this book and jump in.
