7 of 8 found this helpful I have been shooting with a Canon 5d mark II for years, and the RP blew my expectations out of the water. The image quality is sharp, the menus are easy to navigate, and don’t let the youtubers steer you away, with the new firmware update this camera is even more amazing.
Yes, the sensor and MP match the 6dII, but this camera is compact, portable, and so unbelievably comfortable to use. The swivel screen is nice. If you used a sl1 or newer, the touch screen navigation is the same. Live view is amazing, and the focus stacking and in camera level are amazing tools.
This is well worth the money if you have EF lenses. My canon 17-40, 70-200, and sigma 35 have no issues with speed or AF connection. I cannot speak on the video as I bought this for travel photography, but it has replaced my daily driver. The canon connect works great, and allows simple import into light room as well. Some photos to show it’s capabilities. It’s a great buy, definitely professional quality.
