Under Sized
The plans for this kit appear to be under scale, or at least represent really undersized structures. A two truck Shay barely fits in the engine shed. The bunkhouses/kitchen buildings appear to be significantly smaller than similar commercially available structures. In order to use the plans, I enlarged them by 10 percent on a copier. Fifteen percent would probably be more realistic. I expect to have to supplement the kit materials with commercial scribed siding and/or strip wood.

Easy but fun assembly.
Rated for 12+, it was assembled by 7 year old and 10 year old granddaughters with very little assistance. Great accessory for the LEGO Christmas Train.

Micro-trains quality as usual.
Typical Micro-trains Hugh quality. Faithful to prototype, excellent paint and lettering.
