Good part, better mount.
It did solve the problem. And even better, it had a better mount. The mounting plate matched exactly. The old one must have been changed in the past because it did not.

Easy install but get the two ended specific pigtail.
Easy install but get the two ended specific pigtail for your make model and year even if your car came with a one ended pigtail. That avoids having to splice individual wires.
