Smallville Season 4
1 of 1 found this helpful This is an excellent series. The acting is good. And of course the casting is superb with Tom Welling, Allison Mack, and Anette O'Toole. The DVD lets you see them intimately in wide screen with crisp details. I wish Clark would realize how much Chloe loves him and just take her away to his Fortress of Solitude in the arctic, and forget about that mercurial brunette Lana Lang. Let Lex have her! His stunningly beautiful mom, Martha Kent, should set him straight about what to expect from the lavish love of a young woman. And watch out for that most unusual character Mr. Mxyzptlk. I remember him from the comic books in the 1960s. And you will also find Krypto the dog, who was a super dog in print. And this is all family viewing.
There is innuendo in this production that you might miss if you are not aware of the ancient history of the comics of the 1950s and 1960s. As we all know,
Superboy's costume was created by his earthly mother, Martha Kent, from his
blankets that wrapped him in the small spacecraft that brought Kal-El from the
dying Krypton to earth. This super cloth never wears out and it stretched
perfectly to form the leotard of the adult man of steel that the young Clark
grows into. We never see this uniform in Smallville. But we do often see Clark
draped in a bright red jacket with a royal blue polo shirt underneath that
reminds the viewer of what came before. And there is even one episode in which
the S mark by which we recognize Superman, appears on his bare chest like it is a burn scar. Only, it is a Kryptonian symbol that merely resembles an S inscribed in an assymetric pentagon that we would call a diamond. It is more like an infinity sign turned on its head. Even Krypto the dog, at the end of his episode, is shown receiving a bath, and afterwards he is dried off with a crimson red towel that is left to encircle him like the red cape we knew from the early days when he took flight on the paper pages we followed monthly for 12 cents an issue.

A New Kind of Coat Hanger
This coat hanger appears to be made of metal rod. It is actually very thin-walled tubing with an outside diameter of 8mm (0.300 inch). You can see this if you pull off the plastic cap that covers the end of the hook. I will say that this hanger is strong enough to carry a heavy winter coat without deforming and that it is stronger than a 10 gauge (0.100 inch) solid steel wire hanger. It was made with fairly sophisticated manufacturing technique in China in which they form the tubing, bend it to shape, and then weld it at the bottom of the hook. This item represents a new direction coat hanger manufacturing, and I think you will find it useful for heavier pieces of clothing.

This is very flavorful and aromatic garlic with good bulb size.
