Suggest converting to undersink filter for savings and better filtration
Perfect fit - it appears to be genuine OEM. Takes 4 gallons of water to clear sediment prior to initial use. Excessive, Supplier had good price but I've found that installing a larger sink-located filter (about same price with WAY more life and better filtration) with a tee to the refrigerator a much more cost-effective solution. Only downside is filter light on my particular model whirlpool won't shut off when filter removed , despite much research on topic.

Awesome performer with fatal design flaw.
Awesome performer when working. This is my.third try, other two failed under warranty and Rigid no longer sells this. Problem on both were a sudden failure to ignite, apparently not serviceable. Too bad because it is a game changing idea, only portable I know that can hit over 1000 F due to butane for heat.
And awesome battery life due to it only firing the igniter and running fan.

New life for old legs
'Downgraded' from the iconic Dura-ace 7800 53/39 gearing in an effort to get more spin in my 62 year-old legs in the hills of Southern MO. The 50/34 compact gearing takes some getting used to and I'm still tweaking the installation for smoother shifting. You do potentially lose some top end on the downhills, but I find that my riding style is to accelerate over the crest of a large hill and I usually tuck and coast before spinning out of the DA 53 gear anyway. More than makes up for it when going up the same hills.
I had to remove two links from my chain and lower the front derailleur a bit. Still having a bit of problem dialing everything in, and I think I need to add a link back. Otherwise plug and play. Component quality is good, within a few grams of DA, but I miss the polished DA look and the slight bluish tint of the 'silver' Ultegra seems as if it will scratch more easily and you won't be able to polish out scratches as with the DA. All minor stuff as I'm faster and more efficient now in the hills..
