New G7th Capo
This new model is lighter than the old one, which means it doesn't seem to be as substantial. I didn't think the old one was too heavy so the reduction in weight isn't an improvement in my view. The old ones feel heavy but there is no disadvantage to that.
It also releases the opposite way to the old one, which I haven't got used to yet, so the jury is out on that. It doesn't seem to be a major improvement in handling. I need to work with it more to assess that one!
All G7th capos are great at keeping the guitar in tune, subject to the usual slight raising of notes a fraction that you get anytime something holds down a string. I find my guitars all work well with these capos and they are generally better than Shubb (easier to fit to different guitars) and definitely better than any cheap capo. I wouldn't use anything else.

Small, maybe too small?
1 of 1 found this helpful This needs a 9v power supply. It works and they say it will work regardless of impedance required. I like the concept but it needs a good firm surface or it will topple over.
Bear in mind that the amount of space it takes up is largely governed by the size of your foot! No point squeezing it into a small space on your pedal board to find that your overhanging foot switches on the pedal either side of it!
I need to work at it but it seems the small amount of travel makes it difficult to get smooth volume changes, eg. violining.
It seems very well built and looks cool.

Already have one of these. It works fine and bought another as a spare. I use one at home and another live.
The cable on my TC supply had split (they do unless you are super careful, which I will be more in the future!) where the cable meets the body of the supply. This is due to wrapping the cable round the supply after gigs. The plastic splits and then the power cables go.
This new supply works perfectly and is competitively priced. As that's all you need it to be it's damn near perfect!
I'll be buying a few more power supplies from this company (I already have one for my Roland GR55) as they make great universal spares.
