Above average quality for great price. Weekend "Fryers" will not be disappointed!
I've been looking for a double fryer with a single tub that wouldn't break my bank for a year now. We do funnel cakes for a local volunteer function, but the cost of commercial models for this once-per-year function is just too much. When I saw this unit come online, we bought one to test. I wouldn't say it was "commercial" quality in the truest sense. The stainless is a little thin, with some sharp edges. However, it IS better than home kitchen quality by far. The unit breaks down for easy cleaning, the heating elements and controls are solid, the basket well made. It took about 20 minutes to heat up about 3 gallons of oil, thermos cutoff at about 362. When we fried continuous for an hour thereafter, the oil never dropped below 350. We really need 375 for funnel cakes, so we are going to unclip and relocate the thermostat away from the hottest part of the element. If we can get those few extra degrees, we'll be real happy. But even now we were happy enough to buy three more for a total of four at the table. Should be able to crank out around 1000 to 1200 cakes in the 10 hours of the event.
