The Absolute VERY best of all the rest
I went for years after I had shingles all over one side of my face, to a wonderful derm. He had red-auburn hair and had beauriful skin for a redhead (they usually have frail and easy to age-wrinkly skin. ) But his was gorgeous yet not phony-looking. I not only have sensitive skin, I also have sensitive eyes and so many products are O.K. for my skin yet if on my face and anywhere near my eyes, they would cause real inflammation. I finally asked him once (he was getting older and preparing to retire, "what cream do you use at night?" (he had very dry skin he said....and he told me all he'd ever used was the SKINCEUTICALS FACE CREAM......he said he also was sensitive and had tried everything being a derm.....but this was about the best and he swore by it. Of course I bought it and love it. I try others sometimes but always go back to this Face cream by Skinceuticals. When my skin was blistered so badly by the shingles I could use it when I could NOT put anything else on my skin it would burn so. This is soothing and I am 68 and I don't think I'd ever try anything else again.l I used to try others but would wind up giving the others away to friends.......There are other good ones but if you have dry, damaged or sensitive skin, this product checks all the boxes. Worth the expense.....the very best;

2 of 2 found this helpful this is the best. I bought two because usually when I find something I can use-by the time I need another- they don't make it anymore. For me is the perfect color and texture. I hate stuff that is "dewy" and leaves a shine. This is creamy, not heavy, just enough color, and dries more matte. I love it. It at first, does have a weird smell that dissipates quickly. I complained once to an Estee Lauder lady trying to sell a product, that Estee Lauder had too much fragrance in it. She explained that often the things that they put in that are good for your face (some anti-oxidants) smell bad (neem oil is a good example, a great natural antioxidant but stinks like crazy)...she said some companies put in all these antioxidants and then they smell so bad no one would buy them, so Estee then puts fragrance in to cover the horrible smell-that's why all the fragrance....)...So I assume that is the reason Burt's Bees BB has the strange odor, maybe they then do not want to try and cover it up with lots of fragrance. I does go away quickly. My skin is sensitive and I've used this about 6 weeks now and no reaction. As a matter of fact I think it is helping my skin. At night when I wash my face it seems my face is less blotchy the more I use it. I highly recommend the BB cream by Burt's Bees... Don't worry about the smell. It hasn't gone bad...it's probably the Noni oil or some other ingredient that is an antioxidant (or Neem oil).....and is helping. It will evaporate off and you won't smell it anymore. Please give it a try. It is good stuff. I only wish they made the EXACT BB stuff in a 30spf and more range of colors than Light, Medium, and dark. I am between a light and medium but the light was too light for me. The medium is close and I love it anyway. because I've had many skin cancers and my dermatologist wants me to use a 30 spf at least. But I don't go out in the sun that much....A FIVE in everything except I wish they made the SAME THING IN A 30 and more of a range of colors.---good luck

1 of 1 found this helpful My aged dermatologist tried me on Renova and all the various retinal creams and they ALL blistered my skin and I never got adjusted to any of them. He retired finally and I went then to a young new dermatologist that recommended Avene. I LOVE IT! From the first day forward it has never blistered or irritated me. I am 67 and have used Avene now 2 years and would have reacted by now I think had I been going to. It is just good. All the people in her office use Avene and they all love it and have pretty skin. My Rosacea has completely cleared up, All the acne-like places are gone. I just can't recommend it enough. I told the nurse how the Renova was like acid yet I could use Avene..."WHY?" and she said she thought it was the base Avene uses. It is some sort of pure mineral water that can also dissolve the medicinal ingredients better than the base Renova and some of the others use. I highly recommend Avene. It is not as expensive either and that is a big plus......
