Good engine once breakin is complete
Getting past the first tank of gas was the hardest part. Each tank of gas got a little smoother running and easier to start. The engine was nearly impossible turnover when it was brand new. I thought I was going to break the pull cord. By the third tank of gas it was running smoothly and the engine was apparently quite fast. Despite the difficulty breaking in the engine I would buy one of these engines again.

Good reliable ESC
I have had this ESC for about a year. I have a paired with a 2050 KV motor at the same brand. So far the motor and ESC have been very reliable and have give me very good performance. The motor and ESC don't seem to overheat very easily and I have had the car up to about 40 miles an hour on standard gearing in a four-wheel-drive buggy 8th scale.

Paintball marker refinish.
I have an old Tippman 98 paintball marker. The paintball juice had eaten off alot of the paint. I wanted to strip and refinish the marker. I considered several options such as painting with black shellac. When I found out the body was made of cast aluminum I looked to see if there was a way to blue or blacken the metal. I found this product. After reading the reviews I decided to try it. I wont lie. This took alot of prep and effort, but it turned out pretty nice in my opinion. First i chemically stripped the old paint off. I'll just say that I used industrial solvents. Your paint may be different. You'll have to see which solvent is best for your situation. Second came the brass brushing to get down in the corners and seams. Third came the steel wool. I think I used OOO. Then the parst were washe with hot water and dish soap. Then they were cleaned with brake cleaner. Then after drying the Birchwood Casey Aluminum black was applied. You can watch the reaction take place as the liquid fizzes and the metal begins to blacken. It was thoroughly fascinating. The patches that didn't stain at first I just reapplied some fresh liquid after dipping the metal in a bucket of water. After about 3 rounds of this the metal parts cam out a nice dark charcoal color and look more like blued metal. I just need to go back and put some oil or wax on it to give it a nice luster.
