Almost Perfect and Happy With This Buy
1 of 1 found this helpful This is almost perfect IF you have a 6 qt Instant Pot (most but not all are compatible), aren't making large batches of air-fried foods too often, and don't want another appliance taking up space. The lid itself is bulky, so if you use it daily and don't store it away each time, either this or the original pressure-seal lid will be taking up some counter space. The instructions are minimal, but once you get the hang of it, you can see why: It cooks/browns most things so quickly that you just need to keep an eye on things to know when they're done to your liking. This is very easy, as lifting the lid stops the cooking and replacing it over your Instqnt Pot starts it back where it left off. The control panel is as simple as they come: pick a function and adjust the time and temp up or down. You can change it as you go or just hit cancel and start over. The fry basket handles are a bit hard to grip in my silicone "mits," but thankfully the lid comes with a round pad so you can set it down, give your food a shake, and heat for a few more minutes as needed. I was a little disappointed at first that you have to fry pretty small quantities (an overlapping layer but not much more) to allow air circulation around food, but when each batch takes only a few minutes and preheating is all but instantaneous, this doesn't feel like a burden. I roasted a whole head of cauliflower in 3 batches in about the same time it would take on a large pan in my oven but didn't heat up the whole kitchen and used less than half the oil. For single servings, this will be great!
