Works well..........
The good and the bad...... My initial thoughts were, that I would be able to cut and paste frequencies and comments in text format in from a plain text file. Nope it won't, not a deal breaker though as it does have some nice features in so far as moving data around in the program itself. It's very easy to use, and making the actual connection to the radio, uploading and downloading is effortless and trouble free. I can't say that for Prolific chipped data cable that I use with the baofeng, as windows keeps updating the driver, and has to be rolled back to the old driver. My other complaint is there really isn't much in the help section, on what file extensions are used, I had to figure that out, as well as where it was writing the files to. For the casual user this isn't a problem as it seems to know where it stores the files to or looks for the file extension. I made my own folder for easy access to be able to cut and paste to my other machines, after all it is kinda hard to drag the desktop computer out to the driveway.
Would I recommend it, to be honest I'm not sure. However at the $50 price point, it's a bit expensive. You can do the same thing with the free with the Chirp software and a cheap data cable.
Quality is outstanding and it works as intended, the packaging and paper documentation is first rate.
