Great tool for efficient use of space with a rack
Allows another cymbal mount to be added to the end of a vertical rack tube. I have 3 cymbals, a cowbell, and a rack tom mounted in floor tom position, all on a single stealth-type rack on my right with one of these at both ends on the vertical tubes, and it all takes up less floor space than a regular cymbal stand.

Good tom resonant head
Allowed just the right amount of increased resonance on my Yamaha Maple Customs.

It's all Yamaha says it is.
I took a chance buying these, as I had never had the opportunity to try Yamaha's silicon pads out before buying them. I had bought a Yamaha DTX 700 module by itself, and wanted to get all I could from it. I don't like mesh pads; they feel even less realistic than the cheap hard rubber ones. These are the closest thing to a real tom feel that I've tried, and the ability to assign a different sound to three zones just opens up the kit to an amazing degree. I'll be able to play with different combinations of sounds forever. They're expensive, but the best product of their kind available.
