A7III Absolute belter!
3 of 3 found this helpful Sony have really nailed mirrorless with this! My choice was based upon what I don't do as in I don't need 20+ FPS 24mpx pictures (Sony a9) or have my laptop and drives full of super large files (70-100mb each pic Sony a7r3). So I went for the a73.
It is as fast as I need, more than sensitive enough and the AF tracking is superb. The price point is excellent for the quality of what you get. It is simple enough to use, just leave it in Auto and fire away.
For the more experienced Tog, it has a wealth of features not to be missed. I now use my smartphone to control the camera with the Imaging Edge app from Sony. The app even has live view on the screen from the camera. The menus can be daunting of you are moving over from another brand. Dig deep, go with it - it will be worth it. Maybe even consider using one of the many custom buttons to speed up and access your favourite settings.
I'm overwhelmed at how good this camera is. The images I now have are second to none.
Update: Since Sony gave us the eye-AF tracking in the last update, this is incredible for capturing images with lenses wide open. Animal eye AF is simply superb.

Resolution, transparency and dynamics are top notch!
The XP is one of Cyrus's highest performing integrated amplifiers. The d is because it has a DAC and the Qx is because it has had a DAC upgrade. What a difference this makes to the sound!
I use an optical connection into one of its 11 inputs to connect a mac mini. The sound is fantastic! This amp is just sublime in resolving detail in a wide range of music; from the Foo Fighters through Pink Floyd to a spot of Vivaldi, this amp makes the very best of whatever you can throw at it.
It has a variety of analogue and digital connections that can allow a wide degree of expansion. Whilst not overly powerful, it will do an excellent job on it's own.
I've been using a CD transport with this and the Qx DAC in this is so good. It outperforms the likes of the current CDi (who's DAC is not as good as this is according to Cyrus themselves.)
If you are thinking about purchasing one of these, the only thing you need to think about really is your upgrade path. If (like me) you are looking for a power amp to join it and you want something special to crunch the numbers from other sources, this is the one for you. I now have an X Power connected and the result is sublime. This amp makes it all happen!

Worth the investment
3 of 3 found this helpful I thought my 8 XPd Qx was good, then I plugged in an X-Power. What a difference! One of the simplest upgrades ever and what a difference it makes to the depth of the sound.
I run this in Bi Amp mode, stereo LF in my case. It added ooomph to the already thick bass. It didn't make it heavier bass, on the contrary, it clarified the it. I genuinely can hear more low end detail.
