Nicer than an open pile - even on the farm
It is well constructed, easy to fill. I have added small sticks and dry grass and weeds. It will work better when we have dry cornstalks and leaves in the fall. I wanted it mostly for our kitchen scraps. Potato and carrot peelings, coffee grounds, etc. so it's harder to get the 3:1 ratio of brown/green. We'll also have dry hay to add. That will help. My husband thought he should add water. :(
That made it too wet and messy when I tried to spin it. But it is working!
