- *****- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchasePlease excuse my delayed Feedback. With the exception of my misplacing the knife, the transaction went quickly and smoothly. The knife is sturdy but not heavy. Good for lengthy usage. The finish and construction are excellent. It is a beautiful chef's. I am very pleased with this purchase and seller. I would love to buy another. Thank you.Reply from: bgranch5z12- Feedback replied by seller bgranch5z12.- Feedback replied by seller bgranch5z12.Thank you my dear friend..

Velvet suit hangers
These are very nice hangers that serve the purpose well to hang my husbands suits and to hanger my skirt suits. They are flexible and seem tough enough for the job. The velvet, keep my suits scarves right with the suit. Quicker to dress when running out the door.

Memories of PB4Y-2 Privateer
1 of 1 found this helpful I really am enjoying the book. I did not know all the history, variables and uses of the PB4Y-2. I did know it was used by other countries, but not to the extent covered in the book. It will be a treasured part of my library.
I was assigned to VP-24 from December 1952 to July 1955. At the time we were stationed at NATC Patuxent River, MD. As the only squadron still using the “Bat” and the last fleet squadron flying the PB4Y-2, we were tasked in flying fresh out of O&R PB4Y-2’s to the Chinese at Formosa (now Taiwan) for Chiang Kai Shek’s 1953 confrontation with the mainland Chinese over some small Islands. We the spent a winter in Argentia, Newfoundland, flying Ice Patrols from Argentia to Thule, Greenland for charting the ice for the summer supply ships for the DEW line station in Northern Canada. (During this time was when we lost a whole crew and Ice Observer on the hills of Ellesmere Island during a white out and radar failure. We also flew some tests with the Bat Missile, but the icing of the venturis for the flight systems precluded any more tests.
The summer of 1954 was spent transitioning to the P2V-6B (that was equipped to fly the Petrel Missile). Then ferrying more PB4Y-2’s from O&R San Diego to the French in French Indo-China (now Vietnam) at the time of the siege of Dien Ben Phu. When I was released from active duty, I went to work at North American Aviation in Columbus, Ohio. I was back in the PB4Y-2 in the Reserve Squadron until they were replaced by P2V-5’s. During that time we spent several weeks at Whidby Island, Washington with some trips to Alaska.
One of the challenges in flying the PB4Y-2 (use in the Pacific Theater) was the use in the Arctic Winter with -50 degree F and limited cabin heat. In places such as Goose Bay, Labrador and Frobisher Bay on Baffin Island sometimes only the tip of the vertical fin would be above the snow banks.

Locking file box
This locking metal file box was a birthday for my son, as his work as a contractor requires secure paperwork in an organized package that was quality item. The file box arrived well packaged and was stronger than the one he had formerly used. His work does see some harsh uses and so far it has been dependable, and is just the right size.
