Not Your Father's "Made In China" Horn
I've played trombone professionally for over 40 yrs and have exclusively used American made horns. My main horn is 76 yr old King that has great sentimental value as it belonged to my father. I needed to get a back up for the occasions when the old King needed to visit the repair shop. Being retired I don't have a ton of money to throw around so I was looking for something that I could afford. I was warned about the lack of quality control found with most horns made in China and wasn't really expecting much with this one. I have been pleasantly surprised by the Roy Benson line. It's not up to the standards of the boutique horns available today (costing several thousand dollars) but for what it cost it performs just as well in my opinion. Fit and finish are excellent. The slide is very smooth and the tuning slides all move with ease. When considering horns made in China, Roy Benson has stepped up the quality that matches American manufacturers.
My only negative comment concerns the case. It appears to be a very nice case, but the underlying foam material is weak and breaks with very little preasure applied. This was solved by using a case from another manufacture. Even with the expense of a replacement case this Roy Benson trombone is an excellent value.
I would recommend Roy Benson trombones for use by adults and professionals, but don't know if they can hold up to the abuse that comes at the hands of beginers and/or teenagers, especially those in marching band. For indoor use in concert or jazz band, Roy Benson is a great choice for those on a budget.

This Watch is SUPER Cool!
I'm a big comic book Nerd and half my collection is Superman items. This particular Fossil watch is one I've been trying to snag for years. There are MANY Superman watches out there, but THIS one reminds me of my days in the 1960s when we'd watch The Adventures of Superman on tv, ride our bikes down to the store and get our comics off the spinner rack.
