S&A Magwell for Springfield 1911 Loaded
If you own a stainless Springfield 1911 Loaded with ILS and have been wanting to increase the facility with which magazines are loaded into the gun, this item is for you. The stainless and checkering of the Smith and Alexander one piece magwell matches the guns finish exactly. Because it is a one piece the fit is excellent. If you are changing-out an ILS back strap with this magwell you will have to need to purchase a new hammer spring assembly and pin. If you like a crisp trigger or maybe want to softer smoother trigger draw, this is your opportunity to change to a lighter or heavier spring. The OEM is 23 pounds and I went with a 19 pound spring. They are readily available on E-bay.
The install is a piece of cake (it took me all of five minutes) and there are plenty of how to videos of the process on Youtube.
Bottom line: Great eBay deal, easy to install and looks great.
