Fantastic Flats with Zing and Presence!
3 of 3 found this helpful I originally decided to try these strings on my fretless bass to try and tame some of the harshness I was getting from roundwound strings, but not lose all the brightness. I was simply blown away. Not only do you you get plenty of zing, but the strings have much more mid-range presence than rounds and really cut through the mix. And these strings also tamed that harshness in the top end that I just couldn't get rid of with the rounds.
I now have these strings on one fretted bass as well, and they deliver the same results. I can get the action super low because they don't buzz like the rounds as well. If you want to try a flatwound string but want to retain as much brightness as possible, I can't recommend these strings more highly.

Very Satisfied with this Skillet
This is our first cast iron skillet, so we don't have a lot to compare it to, but so far we've been thrilled with it. It cooks very evenly and our results have been excellent. Definitely an excellent value and we are very satisfied.

Goodbye hum, at least the worst of it
3 of 3 found this helpful Like many guitarists who use single coils, I was having trouble with 60 cycle hum, and possibly other RF/EMI noise from the old wiring in my house. I tried a number of solutions, none of which really worked (the gate stopped the noise when I wasn't playing, but didn't help when I was playing). I read the reviews of this item and decided to take a shot, and I'm glad I did.
On the normal setting, the Hum Debugger basically reduced the noise to a very tolerable level. It's not totally gone, but when you start playing it isn't noticeable anymore, which definitely wasn't the case before. The stronger setting gets rid of a bit more, but I don't detect a huge difference between the two settings in my rig.
Best of all, I detect no change in the tone of my instrument, and I cannot hear any echo or "slap back" effect that some reviews have brought up. So this unit really did the trick for me, and now I can get rid of the gate. Obviously different rigs and different sources of noise may produce different results, but I recommend at least giving the Hum Debugger a shot if you're struggling with hum and noise.
