Not just for Arai bargin buy.

I have used these pinlock inserts for my helmets for a few years and have had to replace a visor so this came up at the right time. You do not need to have an Arai helmet to fit this as it is self adhesive so you just need to fit it in the correct position in your visor. This pinlock has always had the strange tint to it when not activated by the light but works fine and does not go fully dark hence the four stars not five ( 4.5 really ) , this is offset by the ridiculously low price for their final stock. I have fitted one to my replacement Arai visor and one to my everyday Nolan which does not have brow vents or pinlock but looks fine and tints when needed.

A bit too sensitive

The alarm is easy to fit but it is far too sensitive when the bike is under a cover. When the bike is covered and the wind catches the cover the alarm sounds even when on the center stand and the bars locked. I was woken up a few times by the alarm sounding when I used the larger cover with the top box fitted. The arming sound on the alarm is what puts off anyone around when you first park up and as my bike has HISS so the red HISS armed light is normally enough to put off opportunist thieves so I can get away with disarming the alarm sraight after arming. Without a cover the alarm is fine but as the Police now suggest covering a bike to help deter thieves the sensitivity needs to be turned down a little,
