More versatile than the description would suggest
I took a chance on this because I was looking for a holder for my 2in1 13 inch laptop/tablet for use with guitar practice. It was the only product I could find in this class that was close to the dimensions of the computer, and no one I could find builds one of these for a 2in1. It turns out that the holder had enough adjustment to accommodate the 2in1 by clamping the keyboard side face down, and allowing freedom (differing angles) for the tablet side (since the screen is only stabilized by the computer hinges, I found that a little velcro tamed the annoying floppiness of the tablet in this configuration). In any event it does work and even allows for conventional laptop mode (keyboard clamped face out), although it doesn't clamp as securely this way. I hope this helps anyone looking for this type of setup because of the dearth of information on this topic.

Significant improvement over previous model
I had a previous version of this lantern and have found significant upgrades in this new one. First, the battery compartment is much easier to manipulate and, although I don't know if I would use it (with 4) the device is capable of operating on 4 or 8 batteries. Second, the lights are much brighter (don't yet know how much this will affect run time) and the panels are affixed via magnets rather than a physical latch. Overall a much improved product from a well respected manufacturer.

As easy to operate as individual stomp boxes
This multi-effect box was designed to be operated just like your favorite single-effect box with little learning curve to be able to get the sounds you want. There is no complicated programming, and it comes with great sounding preset effects (in some cases with the era of music they apply to) and the ability to store user presets if that is your desire. I'm not a big fan of having to spend a lot of time learning how to get what you want out of a computerized guitar interface. I would rather just plug it in, dial a few controls and get going like normal stomp boxes. Don't get me wrong, there are advanced features but you don't need to go there to get good effects out of this box. It is also built like a tank which means it's a little heavy, but so are several stomp boxes daisy chained together and this box is everything you need in one package. All around it was a good value for me as I paid much less than separately buying the boxes that this unit replaces.
