Just a few years ago they built them better
1 of 1 found this helpful I was looking for an inexpensive laptop to replace my Lenovo that fell apart after the warranty expired. I'd heard about the build quality of Dell and decided to give it a try. I ended up purchasing a refurb from a dealer on eBay (It took them a month to get the order correct, but that's another review).
I am pleased with the quality of Dell and the small details like a locking latch and positioning of the USB ports. Although it matches roughly the same specs as my old Lenovo, it seems much faster. Compared with the cheap plastics and construction of the newest crop of laptops, it truly is a bargain. New replacement components seem readily available online at reasonable prices. I use this machine for live music performing via VSTs and Cantibile (a VST host) and I can honestly say the built in sound card is cleaner and clearer than the supposed HD card in the old Lenovo. I'm also running my samples cache at much less than the old machine, which tells me the processor & architecture is that much more efficient.
I think the D820 will probably last much longer and so far I am pleased with it. I purchased it for a little over $300 and feel like a got a $600 machine in the deal. I would recommend it to someone who doesn't want to spend close to a grand on a new, cheaply made laptop.

Genuine GE filters work the best
2 of 2 found this helpful Forget knock-offs. I tried several and the output compared to genuine GE filters is just a dribble. Water flows using these filters is back to what it should be. You can afford to stock up at these prices. Lowe’s and Home Depot will charge you a ridiculous $39 each for the same exact thing.

Solid choice for above ground sprinkling
2 of 2 found this helpful Bought two of these for better coverage of a large yard. My last brass impact sprinkler lasted years and these seem to be built as well or better. UV eventually weakens and damages plastic, to those are the only choice for permanent above the ground installation.
