Top recommended carving knife.

This is almost crazy. This is THE top recommended carving knife of numerous pro Carver's - and it's under twenty five bucks. Basic handle, basic plastic cover/guard...but the blade and overall design are the best. Steel blade is very thin & flexible, not thick or heavy duty. Not made for super hard, dense woods so much. Designed to take off thin slices. This is a very, very good value. I have bought the knife, which is typically cheaper than buying just the blade, and redone the handle with a premium wood hand carved piece and it's stunning. Strongly recommended!

The best Jinhao

This is what I would call a medium size pen...but I have big hands. It still is very comfortable to use, especially thanks to the knurled grip on the section (that's what you call where your fingers grip it). The build quality is similar to the X759 & X450 models...in other words, excellent. The smoothness of the nib still depends on Chinese quality control so it's not perfect, just good. In other words your chance of getting one well tuned is good, not absolute. UTube is full of tutorials on how to adjust fountain pen nibs. It's an issue that every maker out there has...from the cheapest to $500 pens. For the cost, in my opinion, the 601 is the best pen available.
