Shock Doctor Knee Sleeve with Gel Support
Tried several knee compression sleeves for a strained MCL. This one did what it said: Kept it warm, supplied the needed compression and stayed in place relatively well. Use the knee size chart on the box to verify which size you should buy. I didn't need a $60+ immobilizing unit that someone with a severe strain or someone who had to have surgery might need. I was looking for a $10-$25 sleeve that worked good and this one does. Tried some other cheaper knee sleeves in the past and they didn't stay in place at all. You still have to occasionally adjust this unit, but nowhere near as much as cheaper knee sleeves. Liked it so much that when I looked for a sleeve to offer a little support for my oldest while running cross country, playing basketball ect..bought the Shock Doctor ankle sleeve and she has been very satisfied with that. Both are really good products in my opinion.

DId what they said they do but didn't work for me
I am 45 and bought these for running on the treadmill, playing baseball, playing basketball ect.. I used them for doing my treadmill running and they worked as advertised (Tightened) but they were sweaty around the waist. I then used them for playing basketball in and although I have some knee pain (due to muscle soreness and not joint related issues) when I wore these for an hour and a half playing both of my knees really ached bad. I'm not a biomechanics master but although these do what they are advertised to do it seems like the body is supposed to wiggle, jiggle and move a bit more and not be stringently held in place under some circumstances. Also, again the waist area was pretty sweaty. So, In my opinion these are probably ok to use for light impact activities but I would not recommend them for more exhaustive activities like running, playing basketball ect.. I have yet to try just regular "support pants" which are the cheaper version you can buy without the heavier spandex material that mirrors muscle wrapping on the body like these pants do. I tried these compression running tights and am glad I did because unless I have 1st hand knowledge of how they worked/didn't work for me I'd still be curious about them. I bought a used pair to try and am glad I didn't pay new $ for them. I will probably try a pair of the regular cheaper "support pants" for the above mentioned activities just to see if they help with recovery and support these 45 year old's active legs. I'm not sure what I'll do with these pants now...I may just cut them off just above the knee and try them as running shorts instead.
