Gap at contact point.
2 of 2 found this helpful The clamps that hold the rack onto the rails only make contact at the very end of the clamp. This makes the contact point only about a 1/4 inch instead of the full width of the clamp which is about 2 inches. They do not fully engage the rails.
I suspect that this small contact point will cause problems if the crossbars are loaded to their full weight rating.
