Not as good as the product reviews said
2 of 2 found this helpful I had high hopes for this automatic sprinkler because of numerous good reviews on consumer reports websites. I've had cheaper automatic sprinklers, but I thought I'd try a more expensive one thinking it would work better. It seems that this model is not sensitive enough and doesn't have near the range as advertised. I can just about walk right up to these (I have two) before they kick on. Also, the external wire between the control box and the valve is vulnerable. How do I know that? A deer, which is the problem animal in my garden, while eating the plants right in front of the sprinkler bit through the wire. If these sprinklers worked half-way decent, the deer wouldn't have gotten close ehough to do that. Next time I'll save a little money and go with a cheaper one that I know works better.
